Let Me Support You
How Are You?
I am thinking of all of my students, clients and friends and I miss seeing you in person as I ride the waves of these strange times. We cannot control our environment, however, we can choose our response. We can learn and put into place healthy coping strategies.
I am practicing right along with you and I am massively grateful for my yoga and meditation training that I am drawing on extensively. As an emerging psychotherapist in my final months of training, I am keen to share my education and learnings with those wishing assistance.

My Gift To You.
Included here is a link to an audio version of a guided breathing meditation. This is a balancing practice called, Subtle Alternate Nostril Breathing, and most people find it stabilizing and quieting for the system (it is the second title featured on the linked page).
I have a few more guided audio practices on my website in the Resources drop down menu. Try them and let me know how it goes.
Feeling Overwhelmed?
Here is one quick and practical thing you can do to orient yourself in the HERE and NOW; orient to your external environment.
Connect to your 5 SENSES:
Look around your environment and see 5 things – name them for yourself.
Feel 4 things – feel your feet on the ground, rub your palms together briskly, touch your clothing.
Hear 3 things – birds chirping, tune in to music, listen to sounds outside your home.
Smell 2 things – something in the moment or smell some invigorating peppermint oil.
Taste 1 thing – grab some gum and chew.
As always, please reach out if I may be of service. You can find ways to engage with me for short practices and ideas by visiting me on Instagram (lisamitchellhealing).
Sending you peace, compassion and abundant love,
PS. Please forward this newsletter to someone who could use it!
