My Therapy
The therapeutic approach I offer engages the mind, body, and soul. I call myself an integrative therapist which means I draw from different methods to support clients’ unique needs. When working with people I consider their physical, mental, and emotional health. I do not leave the body behind. When I work somatically, which means addressing the entire human being, I incorporate nervous system regulation, breath work, visualization, and body-based inquiry.
Gently uncovering the root causes of suffering is a key part of the work I do with clients. This takes curiosity, patience, and compassion. We also identify beliefs and behavioral patterns that were initially taken on to protect, but now are getting in the way. These ingrained patterns constrain and block authenticity. This is painful and this is often when people seek help.
Healing is relational and ongoing. The trusting relationship that I build with clients is paramount as it is the sacred container in which exploration takes place. When we decide to work together we will gather a health history and you will identify goals for our work.
You would be a good candidate to work with me if you value collaboration and are open to exploring experientially. I bring humility and curiosity to the art and science of healing and I deeply respect the courage required to open ones inner world.
I am committed to growth through ongoing professional education, clinical supervision, personal therapy, rest, and play.
