An Ending and a New Beginning

Dearest community,

I hope you are well. I am reaching out to share the news that at the end of June I am re-locating to Maine, USA.

I was propelled into this next chapter by the awareness of time passing and my desire to make the most of this one, sacred life. I asked myself hard questions, reflected, and in the end, listened to my inner voice. It communicated to me that it was time to change my environment by leaving the city and embracing more nature.

I am always inspired by poet Mary Oliver's wonderful line:

What will you do with your one wild and precious life?

How about you?

I have learned that goodbyes, while hard, are important. A goodbye marks an ending, and also signals a new beginning. This goodbye feels bittersweet to me. As I look back on my time in Toronto, I feel gratitude for the diversity and vibrancy the city offered me. I am particularly grateful for its green spaces, restaurants, arts and culture, learning centres, yoga and fitness facilities, unique boutiques, and multi-cultural neighbourhoods. I am grateful for my century old home, nestled in a tight-knit neighbourhood, that has sheltered my family for many years. Mostly, I am grateful for the people I have come to know and the relationships I have developed. My heart is full with appreciation for colleagues, teachers, students, clients, neighbours, family, and friends; you will be missed.

I would like to say a warm goodbye to 889 Community where I have been teaching yoga and offering workshops for over fifteen years. Thank you for hosting me and allowing me to share my teachings, and I look forward to carrying on my yoga in beautiful Maine.

If you are a client of mine, you know that you have the opportunity to continue to see me for online support. Those of you who are electing to work with me in the virtual realm, know I genuinely appreciate your trust and hope that our work will continue to be beneficial and convenient for you. I also intend to establish an in-person, holistic mental health counselling practice in Maine.

Please stay in touch with me by checking my website (lisamitchellhealing.ca) and Instagram account (@lisamitchellhealing) to see what I am up to. I plan to offer health-promoting, virtual learning in the future.

And finally, as many of you have been asking for more guided meditations to do at home, I have recorded two new ones, the Safe Haven Meditation and the Support Person Meditation. Click HERE to try them, and let me know how you like them!

As always, thank you for reading and I appreciate you being here. Wishing all of you peace, presence, and fulfilment. Have a wonderful summer.
