Honouring Self
The holiday season is upon us. This season can bring cheer, expectation(s), stress, commitments, and a multitude of feelings leading me to inquire, how do you want to attend to yourself this season? How can you be in relationship to yourself, noticing and respecting your needs while also maintaining connection with others? This can feel like a tightrope walk.
This balancing act gets easier with practice. Here are key things I think about when I ponder the question above. Know that I am practicing right along with you.
Ways I Attend to Myself
Create space and slow things down so I can compassionately attune to myself.
Ensure that I consciously take time to move, breathe, and meditate.
Remember my own worthiness; I matter.
Live in alignment with my values.
Establish and maintaining clear boundaries.
Commit to communicating honestly and authentically.
Understand that I will sometimes need to compromise, while at the same time not forsaking myself.
Plan alone time to rest, re-group, and do what fills me up.
Ask myself, what really matters?
The holiday time can be triggering for many people. We are expected to be happy. We are expected to spend money. We may miss family members who are no longer with us. Coexisting with family can be challenging. Now is the time to think about how you can support yourself over the next few weeks.
If you wish support, I am happy to work with you individually. Take advantage of my relational somatic counseling practice.

There is no better gift than health and well-being! This season, consider gifting a loved one yoga and healing time with me. There are two options to select from:

Healing
Begins
the moment
you
want it to.
From the book of poetry, Salt by Nayyirah Waheed.
I want to let you know that I am taking time to rejuvenate from December 20th to January 2nd. If you think you may want to see me during that time, let's try to schedule something prior to then.
Warmly,
